Base plates prevent poles from sinking into the sand or grass. The set includes a pair of large approximate 7-7/8-inch square by 3/8-inch thick, UV treated polyethylene plastic base plate with a flange hole for the volleyball poles to rest inside. Plates do not float and will slowly sink in water. If you need a different size for your pole just contact us and we will be happy to manufacture your custom size.
